With decades of experience in water policy, environmental stewardship, and public service, Chris Pettit is running for Thurston PUD Commissioner to help protect and strengthen one of our community’s most essential public resources. Through his work supporting public water systems across Washington State — from infrastructure funding and technical support to policy development and long-term planning — Chris understands what it takes to keep utility services reliable, sustainable, and responsive to the people they serve.
Water is a basic necessity of life and should be provided in a way that is both effective and responsive to the acute affordability crisis facing our community. Chris's legal, fiscal, and governance experience positions him to be an effective leader in ensuring the provision of safe and reliable drinking water to all PUD customers. Chris will be an advocate that enhances the overall management of the PUD, increases the satisfaction of the ratepayers that they are privileged to serve, and increases the influence of the PUD as part of the solutions to the environmental resource and affordability challenges that we face as a County.
Join the campaign, connect with neighbors across Thurston County, and help support practical, community-focused leadership. We'd love to have you with us!
